An EU venture is helping to upgrade a Czech university and the association of organisations in which it is a key participant. To date, a scientific leader has been recruited and the process of establishing a medical research group has commenced.
Founded in 1919 in Brno, Masaryk University is today the Czech Republic's second largest university. The institution is also a prominent member of the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC), which is expanding thanks to EU funding.
