A population-based study is going to help confirm if psoriatic arthritis is linked to cardiovascular disease (CVD).
Psoriatic arthritis is a form of arthritis that affects people with psoriasis. Around 15 out of 1 000 in Europe suffer from this potentially disabling condition. Both psoriasis and rheumatoid arthritis can be associated with CVD. However, although initial data suggests that psoriatic arthritis may be linked to CVD, there is as yet no complete population-based investigation.
