In the framework of the 2013 European Year of Citizens, PES Group in the Committee of the Regions (CoR) has launched the sixth edition of its annual photo competition under the theme "Europe: I have something to tell you".
All amateur photographers are invited to capture their expectations from Europe or how they would improve the way it works in a creative and original picture. It might be about building Europe together, being a European citizen, or showing how you envisage your place in Europe.
Entrants have to be resident in one of the 27 EU Member States and be over 18 years old.
The competition is only open to amateur photographers. Professional photographers and anyone else working in the field of photography will be automatically excluded from the competition, though photography students are allowed to take part in the competition. They could be asked to provide the organisers with an occupation /study certificate at a later stage of the competition.
To enter the competition:
- Photo must be uploaded in JPEG format (800 pixels).
- Image file must be named with first and last names, following this structure: firstname-lastname.jpg (example: mary-smith.jpg).
- Keep a high resolution copy of the photo for later. Winners will have to supply a printable copy of their photo at 20x30 cm.
Each participant is allowed to submit only one photo!
Deadline: 30 June 2013.
