EU-funded researchers have achieved a world record in energy conversion efficiency for solar cell materials of the future, namely selenide kesterites.
Solar cell technologies are progressively becoming cheaper and more efficient in terms of converting sunlight into electricity. Further progress relies on improving current technologies in new ways, while also using low-cost and stable materials.
