Launched by the European Commission Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) the #BeInclusive EU Sport Awards aim to recognise organisations using the power of sport to increase social inclusion for disadvantaged groups.
Who can apply
Organisations established in the Erasmus+ programme countries (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Turkey);
public or private, commercial or not-for-profit, that have successfully developed sport projects aimed at social inclusion of ethnic minorities, refugees, people with disabilities, youth groups at-risk, or any other group that faces challenging social circumstances.
How to apply
Organisations will have to submit their projects, including text, videos, images or other material indicating the year and country in which the work was produced.
Projects that are still in the development phase and have not yet launched are not eligible.
Prizes
Three winners and six 6 runners-up will be announced at a special awards ceremony on 28th November in Brussels, Belgium, where the projects will be presented to an audience of sport inclusion experts.
The three winners will receive € 10,000 each and the 6 runners-up will receive €2,500 each.
